Food was good as always but the this time around service was shitty I was celebrating a birthday and I felt rushed like the servers wanted us to eat and go.

Golden City is located on School Street and Houghtailing next to the Chevron (Texaco) gas station. Parking is scarce but there's street park, BUT only at certain times. The restaurant is clean and well lit. I had the dinner Plate for Lunch which always seems to be my go to choice when I can't decide what to eat. It's a combination of fried rice, sweet and sour spareribs, chow mein, pot roast port and fried Chinese style chicken and a fried wonton. Can't go wrong for $8. A whole lot of food and you'll be stuffed.

As a single career mom with five kids, Golden City has proven to be the perfect go-to establishment for all of my on-the-go needs. If you have children active in co-curricular activities, I am almost certain you can relate to this scenario:
Child: "Mom! We have a potluck after our game and I signed us up to bring a dish!"
Me: "Oh, okay. When is this for?"
Child: "Today."
Me: "What?!" *panics for a few seconds and then remembers that I can always phone in an order for crispy cake noodles with crispy chicken with a side of crispy gau gee*
Tips:
Phone in ahead of time and to ensure less wait time on your end.
Prepare to wait for a parking space, as they only have around 10. Limited street parking is available after hours. Avoid parking in adjoining gas station areas. -

We came here for my god daughters baptismal dinner. the service was good. we ordered the stuffed egg plant, beef broccoli noodles, porkchops, shrimp and chicken. the food was super good, they also give good portions. not too much and not too little. the space is pretty limited in the restaurant but it fits a good amount of people. the only downfall is the parking because it is very limited. you can park on the side of the street though so thats good haha other than that this place was good to me :) i'd def go back for more!

Decided to eat here with my boyfriend because I was craving Chinese food and he recommended this place. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted and seated. The waitress was nice. We ordered the beef brocolli, char sui fried rice, and the shrimp vegetable chow mein. The wait wasnt too long from ordering to the food being served. The food was absolutely delicious and quite affordable.
